A rebound is a single-page session on your site that has a session duration of 0 seconds. The return rate is a single page session divided by all sessions or the percentage of all sessions on your site where users only see a single page and trigger a single request to the Analytics server.

For example, when a user opens a single page on your site and then exits without activating any other request to the Analytics server during that session. This has a rebound rate of 100%.
